I've been absent lately. I've been reading your posts, commenting on some of them, just not writing any myself. It's been hard for me to find the time and when I have the time, it's been hard for me to find a topic to write about. We've been busy here, but not with anything note-worthy, just life. So, here's a MEME, stolen from Maria for you, my gentle readers. Enjoy...or don't. Whatever.
1) ONE OF YOUR SCARS. HOW DID YOU GET IT?
My left forearm, chicken pox when I was 22.
2) WHAT IS ON THE WALLS OF YOUR BEDROOM?
A wedding photo framed by Mr. EM with some dried flowers from my wedding bouquet, it was a gift from him on our first anniversary.

An art project I did for a college class, 2 magazine pictures woven together. I'm still impressed with myself at how well it turned out. One picture is a woman in a hot pink one piece bathing suit, the other is a man in a swanky suit. Their limbs and hair lines lined up perfectly and the effect is awesome, if I do say so myself.
A painting Mr. EM bought from Good Will before I knew him of a Hispanic-looking girl with a guitar, it's quite pretty.
3) WHAT DOES YOUR MOBILE PHONE LOOK LIKE?
Black, touch-screen, pretty basic.
4) WHAT MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
All kinds...favorites would be JJ Grey and Mofro, the Rolling Stones, the Indigo Girls, the Pixies, Ray LaMontagne, Ryan Adams, MC5, Concrete Blonde, Broadway soundtracks of Rent, Avenue Q, Hair and Sweeney Todd.
5) DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME YOU WERE BORN?
Not the exact time, but I know it was very soon after midnight.
6) WHAT DO YOU WANT MORE THAN ANYTHING RIGHT NOW?
To have the means to move out of this house and into one that doesn't need so much work.
7) WHO DO YOU MISS?
My brother, we talk and text and email frequently, but I'd like to live closer so we could see each other and hang out more often. My boys would love that too.
I also miss having my close girlfriends nearby. Any time we get together, it's a major undertaking to schedule it because we are scattered all over the state. It would nice to just be able to call up a friend and say, "Let's see a movie," or just get together for a glass of wine after a tough day at work.
8) IS ANYONE IN LOVE WITH YOU OR HAS A CRUSH ON YOU?
Mr. EM is in love with me and shows it frequently, which is very nice. As far as the crush goes...years ago,a friend of my uncle's, significantly older than me, professed a crush on me and attempted to act on it. He was married at the time and I was quite taken by surprise, as I'd always assumed I was considered "Steve's niece" by all of those people. The evening ended awkwardly and I'd barely seen him since then. I ran into him last weekend and, if I'm not mistaken, the "look" was still in his eyes when he saw me again.
9) WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU KISSED?
Mr. EM, just a while ago when he left to run an errand...and it was a hot one!

"Scared" is a strong word...I get uncomfortable in the dark in unfamiliar places.

Mr. EM, I took something he said out of context and blew it way out of proportion...because I am prone to do that, especially at certain times during the month.
15) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOGNE/PERFUME?
Patchouli oil or Anais Anais
16) WHAT KIND OF HAIR/EYE COLOR DO YOU LIKE IN THE OPPOSITE SEX?
I'm partial to blonde hair and blue eyes, but I can find someone attractive regardless of hair/eye color.
17) WOULD YOU RATHER BE SMART OR FUNNY?
Smart. But most really smart people are funny too. (I agree, Maria!)
18) COFFEE OR ENERGY DRINKS?
Strong, dark coffee...preferably a Sumatran or chicory blend. Black.

Garlic, roma tomatoes and spinach

Slices of sharp cheddar cheese on Triscuit crackers
21) WHO IS THE LAST PERSON WHO MADE YOU MAD?
Big M. We have Netflix and he is on the honor system in regards to what he watches after school before we come home. Mr. EM checked the recently viewed items on our account today and we found out that Big M. has watched a couple of episodes of "Jackass". The honor system is no longer...now we'll be hiding the remote when we're not home to monitor what he's watching.

A stuffed striped cat for a birthday. I remember that its tail fell into the cake and I licked the frosting off of it.

I like a lot of people. What kind of question is that? Does it mean "like-like" someone? If so, then, yes. I "like-like" my husband! And JJ Grey.

No, but I'm very flexible.

Old Navy and Levis jeans. No jeans fit me as well as Levis 515's do.

Sage green or that pale gold color I've seen around.
29) WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KIND OF EXERCISE?
Yoga
30) WOULD YOU FALL IN LOVE KNOWING THAT THE PERSON IS LEAVING?
Yes. I did in college. This guy and I hit it off big time when we both already knew that he was moving with his family to Indiana, where his dad had been transferred. He was already enrolled in college there, had a part-time job already set to start, there was no getting out of it. Totally sucked, I learned that I am not a long-distance relationship kind of gal. I was miserable all the time without him around and our visits were far too infrequent for my liking. We stuck it out for just under a year, and he was willing to stick it out. I just wasn't. So, it ended. And all for the best because we are both happily married to others now. But it was a very sweet, loving relationship and I don't regret having been through it. He taught me what I was looking for in a long-term relationship.
